On January 11, 2013, Rapper PPS the Writah was interviewed on Le Grand Rendez-Vous, a national Senegalese Television show. In the interview PPS provides more insight into his beliefs as well as his hip hop music. In this video, Ben Herson, the founder of Nomadic Wax, speaks at a forum at UCLA on “Global Perspectives on Youth & Violence.”
The forum was in March 2009 but the video is still very relevant. It provides a detailed account of hip hop throughout Africa including Senegal, Tanzania, and South Africa as well as the impact of modern technology on hip hop music & the youth population.
